How climate change is affecting women and girls

International Women’s Day (IWD) is a day set aside by the UN to honor women everywhere. On that day, we honor women’s resilience and the crucial role they play in society. While doing so, it is crucial that we recognize some of the difficulties that women encounter on a daily basis. The negative effects of climate change are currently one of the most urgent issues women confront. Women are typically the sole breadwinners in their families, and as such, they are responsible for ensuring that their children have access to education as well as putting food on the table.
